The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Linda Brown Thompson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The Wheels of God...

My condolences to the family for your loss. I was moved to express my sympathies because I was a beneficiary of Linda Brown's courage and the values she and her dad stood for. In September of 1954, I along with four other black kids integrated an all white junior high school in Morgantown, West Virginia. We were true pioneers...excited by the opportunity yet apprehensive at the same time. Thank goodness we did not face water hoses, police dogs, and police brutality that raised its ugly head in the deep south. We graduated from high school together and then entered college. Our success in life is due to our standing on the shoulders of Linda and her dad. Thank you a million times for the both of them. Peace Profound
