Mary Madeline Carol Campbell was born January 30, 1951 as the youngest of a set of twins to William and Opal Campbell in Salina, Kansas. The family moved to Strong City, Kansas in July of 1951.

Mary accepted Christ at the early age of 7. She attended Parochial School St. Anthony's until the 3rd grade and attended Chase County public schools until after her high school graduation, where she was among the top 3 of her class.

She and her mother Opal moved to Kansas City in 1970 to be closer to her sisters. She worked for W.T. Grants until 1976 when she gave birth to her one and only daughter, Octavia. She then was an employee of AT&T for over 20 years with an outstanding work and attendance record.

When her daughter turned 3 months old she rededicated her life to Christ and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Quindaro until her death. She was the Sunday School secretary for more than 10 years and a member of the adult choir and its secretary for over 8 years. She was a member of the Dorcas Circle missionary department and decorator of church and community events.

Mary attended Kansas City Kansas Community College and earned her Associate Degree in Business in December 1989. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Accounting at St. Mary's College and a Masters with Keller Graduate School of Management.

She is preceded in death by her father William Campbell, mother Opal Campbell, sister Beverly Barnett, Uncles and Aunts. Mary is survived by her daughter, Octavia R. (Joseph Fisher Jr.) Campbell-Fisher and grandson, Xavier C. Fisher (Topeka, KS); twin sister, Marie A. Collins (Kansas City, KS); nieces Lai (Mark Sr.) Watson (St Charles, MO), Natasha (Gregory) Neal (Northport, FL) and Tabitha Collins (Sarasota, FL); nephews, Cecil (Vernie) Barnett Jr., Archie Barnett both of (Kansas City, KS), Antwaine (Rachel) Barnett (Shawnee, KS) and a host of great nieces, nephews and close friends who she deeply cherished.
