On a February 6, 1949, Mr. Norman W. Beaver was given life by his father, William W. Beaver of Paris, Texas and his mother, Joe Mae Kayhill of Leroy, Texas. Mr. Beaver, affectionately called "Beaver", was born in the small town of Arthur City, Texas. Norman was never short of laughter, fun and play with his four brothers and sister around.
Beaver was far ahead of his time - full of wisdom and natural skill at almost anything he pursued. As a child, he enjoyed horseback riding when the circus came into town. Beaver loved animals and he loved teaching and helping expand the minds of his siblings.
Love found Beaver when he joined his heart with Brenda Ann Prudhomme. Later, he earned the title of father and was blessed with two sons, Sam and Norman and one daughter, Tinene. He persisted in his adult life to learn and educate himself. Mrs. Beaver recalls his passion for reading the dictionary and composing the most studious writings. Some may find it interesting to know that he was a master of the pen, printing with the most beautiful handwriting. Along with intellectual pursuits, Mr. Beaver enjoyed gardening and planting; making leather goods and crafts; spending time with his family; dogs and animals of all kinds. Most importantly, Norman was a friend to everyone and a stranger to none.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Ann Prudhomme Beaver (Topeka, KS); his sons, Sam (Ginger) Spivey and Norma Carter; his daughter, Tinene Beaver, all of Topeka, Kansas; his brothers, Raymond (Rhonda) Beaver (Kansas City, KS), Duane M. Beaver (San Francisco, CA), Willard Beaver (Topeka, KS); ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Mr. Beaver is preceded in death by his father, William Beaver; mother, joe Mae Leroy Kayhill; brother, Sammy Beaver; sister, Tricia Kayhill Bradford and special friend, Tyrone Johnson.
