Charles Curtis  Miller
Charles Curtis Miller, 76, passed away, Thursday, October 14, 2016. He was born on February 16, 1940 in Terrill, Texas the son of Jim Henry Miller and Odessa Preston Miller.
He received his formal education from Burnett High School in Terrill, Texas. After high school Charles attended Wiley College in Marshall, Texas where he was a member of the basketball team.
Charles relocated to Topeka, Kansas over 40 years ago. After moving to Topeka he worked as a general contractor building houses, car salesman and as a counselor for the State of Kansas Boys Industrial School (BIS). After working for BIS he worked as a healthcare provider until his health failed him.
Charles was a very fashionable man and loved to wear nice suits. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching sports on television.
Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracey Miller Johnson; parents, Henry and Odessa Miller and one sister, Annie Hale.
He is survived by three sons, Rodney Miller, Charles C. Miller, Jr. (Natasha) and Avery Miller all of Dallas, Texas; three sisters Roberta Young of Fort Worth, Texas, Bessie Miller of Topeka, Kansas and Addie Miller of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, co-workers and close friends.
