Christopher Abel Carter was born January 6, 1975 to Timothy Dale Maples Sr. and Carrie Shanora Carter - Maples. He received is wings on June 8, 2018.

Chris was engaged to Ja-meece Wilkins whom preceded him in death. To that relationship a daughter was born, Tressa Shanora Carter.

He received his education through USD 501 graduating from Highland Park High School. After high school, he became a home health care worker for Topeka Independent Living Resource Center.

Chris was a loving and devoted father to his daughter. He loved to cook fried chicken and loved his music. He was the DJ at all the family functions and love to crack jokes.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Shanora Carter - Maples; brother, Timothy Dale Maples Jr.; maternal grandparents, Abel and Elizabeth Carter; paternal grandparents, Shirley and Marion Maples and his aunt, Patricia Maples.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his dad, Timothy (Milliah) Maples Sr.; brother, Shawn (Angie) Carter; best friend since second grade, Bryce Wilkins; two nephews, Tyler (Randi) Carter, Najhae Carter; great nephew, Ja’marion Carter and great niece, Aniya Carter, whom are all of Topeka, Kansas. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
