Stephanie Lynn Gill McNeal was born on November 11, 1968 to Ronnie Eugene Maples Sr. and Patricia Elaine Maples and received her angel wings on April 9, 2018. Stephanie married Cleveland Neal and to that union were born 3 children but later divorced. She later went on to marry twice that also ended in divorce.

Stephanie shared her love for singing with her siblings and was a member of the gospel group, The Maplettes. Stephanie received her childhood spiritual foundation as a member of First Church of God in Christ and was a current member of Open Arms Outreach Ministry, both of Topeka, KS.

Stephanie received her education in Unified School District 501, Topeka Public Schools. She was a member of the Hershey Basketball and Track Teams and won the All-State Championship in both sports. As a teenager, Stephanie enjoyed her employment at various restaurants. Because she loved kids she had a neighborhood candy store. Stephanie was employed as a home health aide and remained in that position until her heavenly transition.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie E. Maples Sr.; mother, Patricia E. Maples; two children, son, David Leotis Neal; daughter, Shanique Bar’Shai Elaine Neal, maternal grandparents, Abel and Elizabeth Carter, paternal grandparents, Shirley and Marion Maples.

Left to cherish her memory one daughter, Elizabeth (Marlando) Neal of Topeka, KS; significant other, Peondre Walker Sr. (Topeka, KS); brother, Ronnie E. Maples Jr.; sisters, Kimberly Maples, Stacie (Vincent) Henderson, Tonya Simms, all of Topeka, KS; 10 grandchildren, Crystavia Neal, Tamaureon Neal, Dejanique Neal, Anissa Neal, Destinie Neal, Jaliel Hill, Jaliyah Hill, Aaron Hill Jr., Toriay Johnson, Marlando Tibbs Jr., and a host of other family and friends.
