The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marvin Bailey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Generous and Kind Hearted

I have know Marvin for the past six years. He would come in once or twice a week to my place of work. Every time I would see him he would ask how I was and just make small talk. I work over night and Marvin and I had a started a little joke about what I would eat before I came to work. Since I worked graveyard shift I would eat breakfast food when everyone else would be eating dinner food. Marvin would always ask me what I ate for breakfast. Most of the time I would just have a bowl of cereal and he thought it was so funny. He would even ask what kind of cereal I had, to the point he was able to guess which brand. It became known to him my favorite cereal was "Lucky Charms". One night he brought me a grocery sack with a couple boxes of Lucky Charms! He was such a generous and kind hearted man. He had a great sense of humor as well. Marvin, we sang the blues for you tonight in Uncle Bo's, you will be greatly missed.
