Wilma Aileen Dickson, 101, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, in Topeka, Kansas.

She is survived by her two daughters Winona (Charles) Dickson-Hall, of Kansas; Fondetta Gardiner, of Maryland; a nephew/son Robert W. Barnes California, six grandchildren Antony Gardiner, John A. Gardiner, Ginger Gardiner, Gina Gardiner, Jaime (Roderick) Scott, Charlee Hall, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Fonzo Barnes, her mother Maude Barnes, her husband Ernest Dickson, her oldest daughter Charlotte Journey and three brothers Alphonso Barnes, Lorenzo Barnes and J’Olin Barnes.
Wilma was born on October 5th, in Higbee, Missouri, to parents Fonzo and Maude Barnes. She graduated from Topeka High School and was a certified Licensed Practical Nurse.

She was married to Ernest Leon Dickson for over 50 years until he passed.

She retired from the Topeka State Hospital in 1981 after many faithful years of service.
She was a long standing member at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church throughout her life, were she was active in the Pathfinders missionary club. She enjoyed sewing and crafting. But most of all traveling and being together with her family.
