Harrison "David" B. Hopkins was the first son born to Jim B. Sr. and Annie Kate Hopkins on February 5, 1951. God called David home on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

David and Eula Hopkins had 6 children together; Brenda, Santee, Theaster, Shavon, David and Cedric. David and Cathy Morris had 3 children together; Shaneece, David and Dimetrie "Meechie". David loved his children very much.

David will be missed by his mother, Annie Kate Hopkins; three sisters, Linda Huffman and Youlanda Hopkins of Topeka, Kansas; Vanessa Davis of Bonner Springs, Kansas; five brothers, Lash Hopkins (Mary) of Madison, Wisconsin; Sam Hopkins (Betty), Lannie Hopkins (Janice), Bobby Charles Hopkins, of Topeka, Kansas; and Bobby Ray Hopkins (Martrice) of Houston, Texas.

Preceding him in death was his father, Jim B. Hopkins Sr., three brothers Larry J., Hal E., Jim B. Hopkins Jr., and two children, Cedric and Dimetrie "Meechie" Hopkins.

David's love of family and friends was very strong. He made friends everywhere he went. His hobbies included walking; going to McDonald's to meet with friends, cutting grass; which he was very good at, and going to the casino. He enjoyed family gatherings.
