Pointdexter Douglas  McCapitalon
Pointdexter Fairchild McCapitalon, 72, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017. McCapitalon is best known by his birth name of Gary Douglas Johnson.

He was born to the parents of June Virginia Johnson and Solomon Daniel Johnson on October 23, 1944, in the city of Lawrence, Kansas. He was the eldest child of five daughters and five step-siblings.

His career started when he enlisted in the U.S. Army for three years. He left the army to apply his talent in the healthcare field of nursing, where he became a nurse and actively enjoyed for 30 years.

He also loved to travel and enjoyed many years sight-seeing the world, and made Topeka, Kansas his home until his untimely death.

Survivors: Allison June Johnson of Hawaii, sons, David McFoxx of Wichita, Kansas; sisters Linda Sanders and Naomi Johnson Winborn both from Topeka, Kansas, Rhonda Lofland of Topeka, Kansas, Victoria Johnson, Marcus Johnson and Solomon D. Johnson Jr. all from California, Ivy Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rosia McLittle Johnson of Detroit, Michigan, five grandchildren, two great-grand children and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Proceeding in death: Solomon Daniel Johnson Sr.(father), June Virginia Johnson (mother), Brenda Irene Washington (sister), Regina Pauline Daniel (sister), Sonya Johnson (daughter)
