Obituary for Larry Bernard Farmer Sr.

Larry Bernard Farmer, Sr. son of Emma Catherine Farmer, was born March 26, 1956. In Wilson, North Carolina. Shortly after rededicating his life he was called home to be with the Lord.

He attended Fair Haven Middle School and Hill High School. After high school he attended Middlesex Community College where he gained quite a reputation as a basketball player. He scored 715 points. He was the first Middlesex player to go over 700 points in one season. After moving to Topeka he attended Washburn University where he studied Criminal Justice. In 1976, he professed a hope in Christ and joined Faith Temple Church, where he sang in the choir and functioned as a custodian.

He was united in marriage with Sharita Jo Daniels on September 3, 1977. Larry was the father of two daughters, two sons, and a grandfather to six beautiful grandchildren.

Memories of his life will be forever cherished by his wife, Sharita, his two sons Larry Bernard Farmer, Jr. and Darius Immanuel Calvert, two daughters, Sharisse (Darion) Verser (Topeka, KS), and Denise Calvert (Lacrosse, WI), two brothers, Carl D. (Ginger) Farmer (Topeka, KS), Mitchell (Verna) Farmer (Wilson, NC), Katrina Farmer (Westchester, PA), Connie Farmer (Wilmington, DE), Oglatha Woodard (Wilson, NC) his mother Emma Catherine, and a host of relatives and friends.
