Barbara Belinda Rean affectionately called "B" was born on November 15, 1942 in Tamo, Arkansas the fifth child of Genolia and Robert Montgomery. She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age.
"B" attended Sylvester High School in Moscow, Arkansas. She was adventurous and moved to New York where she worked for a year. In 1972 she moved to Topeka and in 1975 she relocated to Long Beach, California where she worked at a dry cleaners for 15 years. She also worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA) for 3 to 4 years alongside her mother and niece at night. She also worked for Scott's Cleaners and a Wig Shop.
"B" had a passion for fashion, she designed, hand crafted and created her own clothes, purses and shoes that originated from her ideas.
She met her future husband John I. Rean and from their union two children were born, Evelyn and Robert. They worked together at 3M until they both retired at which time they relocated to Moreno Valley, California. While married "B" and John traveled extensively from California to Kansas to Arkansas to Texas and to Las Vegas, they were always together. When her mother took ill she moved back to Topeka to take care of her and her aunt Elizabeth London until their passing. She later cared for her husband until he passed. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia after being diagnosed with cancer in July 2015 to receive treatment.
Barbara "B" Rean was called home to be with God on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Genolia Thornton and Robert Montgomery; husband, John I. Rean; sisters, Emma Taylor, Elizabeth London; brother, James Montgomery; brother-in-law, Bobby Taylor, Sr., son-in-law, Jerry L. Harris; great-nephew, Rafiel Wigfall and a granddaughter who passed at birth.
She is survived by her daughter Evelyn Harris Union City, Georgia; son, Robert Smith College Park Georgia; 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
