The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Aletha Cushinberry can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Leon Rinehart CRNA, BS
Condolence: This Lady was my inspiration for Nursing. Mrs. Cushingberry, as I called her, was one of my teachers at Washburn University in Topeka, Ks. where I completed my nursing degree, back in 1981. She was the most knowledgeable instructor in her field, and I was honored to have known her.

Some 40 years later, I am still in her shadow. The Best, Mrs. Cushingberry. My hero!!!

Condolence: The homegoing of Dr. Cushinberry will leave a void in the lives of many. Dr. Cushinberry mentored many women all over the nation and taught them by her actions that you can be the women God made you to be with out compromising and still become a successful leader in your community and in the body of Christ.

Condolence: It is with a heavy heart that I offer my condolence to the entire family of Bishop Aletha Cushinberry. However, we sorrow not as those who have no hope. We who remain in Christ will meet her again one day. Bishop Cushinberry has finished her course and has now gone from labor to reward. We celebrate the life and legacy of such a powerfully anointed woman of God.
