Obituary for Duravin Levi ""Ray"" Knight (Knight) Sr.
Duravin “Ray” Levi Knight Sr. was born on September 27, 1968 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Cecil Knight and Juanita Thompson. He passed away on April 6,2015 in Topeka ,Kansas.
In his short life, he lived with an immense love for family, loyalty to friends and a jest for teasing others. He loved to cook for others and enjoyed hosting cookouts and family gatherings. He attended Washburn Tech to pursue culinary arts. He was raised by his grandmother, Ethel Lee Henderson, and grew up with cousins he thought of as brothers and sisters. Ray knew the Lord and accepted Christ as his Savior.
His path in life came with obstacles and illness but through it all, he continued to hold those he loved in his heart. He is survived by his children Raiven Le Knight, Leanna Michelle Knight and Duravin Levi Knight Jr. in Topeka, Kansas. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Jaime L Knight; his Aunts, Georgia Hadley, Ruthann Garner, Brenda Phillips; uncles, Waddie Lee Henderson, Harold Pryor, Karry McLemore, and Wave Garner; cousins and their families; Tressa Henderson, Por-Tia McLemore, Jamon Garner, Charmeeka Jackson, Candace Divers, Reesha Jackson, Aja McLemore and Kelsie Thompson and a host of other relatives and friends.
