Obituary for David Leodis Neal

On November 21, 2014, David answered a call from the Lord.

David Leodis Neal was born to Cleveland Neal and Stephanie McNeal on July 7, 1986 in Kansas City, Kansas. He attended Topeka Public Schools and later joined the Job Corp where he received his high school diploma. While in Job Corp, he was certified as a brick mason. After Job Corp, he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged. While in the Army, he married Sarah Lotridge. They later divorced.

David accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of First Church C.O.G.I.C. where he was active in the youth department. He later united with El Shaddai Ministries Community Church where he joined the Boy Scouts of America and was one level away from earning the Eagle Scout rank. Before his passing, David united with Open Arms Outreach ministries.

David is preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Maples, grandfather, Ronnie Maples Sr., sister Shanique Neal, grandfather, Leodis Neal, great-grandparents, Able and Elizabeth Carter and great-grandmother, Marion Maples.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Destinie Neal, Crystavis Neal, Tamaureon Neal and Dejanique Neal; mother, Stephanie McNeal; father, Cleveland Neal; grandmother, Ruth Neal; sisters, Elizabeth Neal and Jaundainne Brown; brothers, Christopher Neal and Cleveland Neal Jr.; godmother, hannah Abbott; best friends, Courtney and Chuc, where together they were known as the "3 Amigos" and a host of other relatives and friends. David was loved by all and will be missed!
